Margaret Swallow

 

 

Margaret spent 23 years at P&G in a variety of line and staff positions, including 3 ½ years working in Caracas, Venezuela. She managed P&G’s global marketing training program for 18 months and it was during this period that she developed the company’s first leadership training program for Marketing Directors on track for promotion to General Managers. She personally led the global expansion of this program (Marketing Directors College) in 1997. In addition to her marketing experience, she had broadening assignments in External Relations. Upon retiring from P&G she was the Executive Director of the Coffee Quality Institute from June 2002 – October 2006 and worked with private industry and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to design and implement programs to improve the sustainability of coffee farming in developing countries around the world. In October 2012 she was a training consultant for the UN International Trade Centre. In this role, she was the lead instructor for a global team that designed and implemented leadership training for 22 women from 12 African countries. She is a natural “ambassador” and has been a guest speaker at business and NGO meetings in the US, Japan, Africa, and Central and South America.
